المملكة: More than 7.1 million beneficiaries and 133,000 trips at Kadana station in Makkah Al-Mukarramah

Kadana, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the Holy Sites, expressed the intensity of operational presence during the holy month of Ramadan, through an integrated system of field services and specific programs that targeted Umrah pilgrims, visitors, and the people of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, within the framework of supporting the quality of life and enriching the experience Visitors of the Grand Mosque.
Operational indicators revealed that more than 7,163,415 beneficiaries benefited from transportation services through the Kadanah station, which worked around the clock as a main center for transporting worshipers and Umrah pilgrims to and from the Grand Mosque. The station witnessed the operation of 260 buses that carried out more than 133,700 frequent trips, in an operational model that reflects the efficiency of crowd management and smooth movement during the peak of the Ramadan season.
The impact of the initiatives extended to the humanitarian aspect, as 558,541 people benefited from iftar meals provided by the Hafawa Association inside Kadana station, while the Sacred House Endowment contributed to the distribution of 4,750 iftar meals within the Kadana route, in parallel with Implementing field prayers in cooperation with the Manasik Association, in a way that reflects the integration of community efforts to serve the guests of God.
Revitalizing vital sites
With regard to activating destinations, Kadana worked to revive a number of vital sites during the holy month, including the Kadana path and the side of Ain Zubaydah, in addition to the Jamarat facility, through cultural and entertainment programs directed at different age groups. The total number of visitors to these destinations reached more than 19 thousand visitors, which reflects the growing demand for spatial experiences with a cultural and historical dimension.
The Kadanah Trail is one of the most prominent integrated destinations that allows visitors to experience walking and resting within a prepared environment, while the Jamarat facility exhibition presents interactive knowledge content that reviews the history of the facility and the ritual of throwing stones, while the side of Ain Zubaydah evokes its historical value through activities that enhance the visitor’s connection to the place.
These indicators reflect Kadanah’s approach towards transforming the holy sites into lively, sustainable destinations throughout the year, by developing an integrated service structure and providing qualitative experiences that contribute to raising the quality of services provided, and enhancing the human and cultural dimension of the place, in line with the comprehensive development goals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
