"Sharjah libraries" Participate in an exhibition "Sharjah International Book Fair"

Sharjah, 31 October / WAM / During its participation in the 44th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, which will be held from 5 to 16 November next at the Expo Center Sharjah, under the slogan “Between You and a Book,” Sharjah Public Libraries will present a diverse cultural program held in its pavilion, which includes three main events and a special initiative to encourage the public to join the library membership.
Iman Bushalibi, Director of the Sharjah Public Libraries Department at the Authority, said that the libraries’ participation in the exhibition represents an opportunity to communicate with the reading public and introduce them to library services and their various cultural programs that continue throughout the year.
As part of the “Book Under the Light” program, Sharjah Libraries will host the Egyptian poet and writer Iman Mersal in a session entitled “Writing is a Place to Glow” and the Kuwaiti novelist Abdul Wahab Al-Hammadi in a session entitled “History in the Language of Literature.” The meetings discuss the creative paths of the participating writers.
The “Behind the Scenes” event includes two main sessions, the first entitled “The Art of Searching for Man” and hosting the Emirati writer and screenwriter Mohammed Hassan Ahmed, and the second entitled “The Language of the Dragon: How Do We Read Chinese Literature in Arabic?” With the writer Yara Al-Masry, where the audience shares his experiences in writing, performance and artistic production, and participates in the “Reading Club” activities, the Knowledge Symphony Reading Club from the Emirates, which hosts Muhammad Al-Ansari, and the Kalima Reading Club from the Emirates, which participates through Rawda Al-Mansouri.
