The UAE believes in the importance of building an integrated global economic system

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, headed the United Arab Emirates delegation participating in the work of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, hosted by the city of Gyeongju, in the presence of leaders, leaders and heads of government of member states and delegations from the most prominent global and regional economies.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan delivered the UAE’s speech, at the beginning of which he conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to the leaders and heads of the participating countries, and his wishes for the success of the Forum’s work in expanding the scope of the strategic partnership between its members, in a way that serves the interests of countries and benefits their peoples.

His Highness pointed out that the challenges and economic transformations facing the world require us all to strengthen international cooperation, to ensure the achievement of sustainable and comprehensive economic growth, by transforming available competitive opportunities into bridges to open new horizons for partnership in vital sectors.

His Highness stressed that the UAE firmly believes in the importance of joint action to overcome various challenges, by building an integrated global economic system based on pluralism and openness to various regional and international markets, to ensure diversification of cooperation options and achieve stability and security of common economic interests.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, for the invitation to participate in the work of the forum, and for the good organization, warm reception and generous hospitality. His Highness stressed the UAE’s commitment to continue supporting efforts to advance sustainable development and achieve shared prosperity globally.

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum is a platform to support strategic dialogue, in order to expand economic partnerships, by doubling the volume of trade exchange, and supporting joint investments in economic priority areas such as advanced technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, precision industries, health care, and other vital areas.

The forum was attended by Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Head of the Crown Prince’s Office in the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Saif Saeed Ghobash, Head of the Abu Dhabi Media Office, Advisor for Strategic Relations in the Crown Prince’s Court, Maryam Eid Al Muhairi, and the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, had left the Republic of Korea after His Highness headed the United Arab Emirates delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him.
