المملكة: photo.. "Media" Launch an initiative "Global harmony 2" Indian Culture Week

The Ministry began the first activities of the initiative by opening the Indian Culture Week in Al Suwaidi Park in Riyadh, in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority, which continues until November 10.

It will be followed by organizing a series of cultural weeks that celebrate 14 international cultures representing the cultural diversity of residents of the Kingdom, with the participation of more than 100 artists of different nationalities.

The initiative aims to shed light on the lives of residents in the Kingdom in all its aspects, including their professional and family lives, their social and recreational activities, their contribution to the Kingdom’s economy, and stories of their successes.

In addition to the diversity and richness of their different cultures, aspects of integration and harmony with Saudi society, and the efforts made by the governmental and private sectors to raise the quality of life in the Kingdom’s cities.

Indian Culture Week offers visitors a rich cultural experience that combines folk arts, heritage performances, music, fashion and traditional food, in addition to many activities for children.

The Ministry invited residents of the Kingdom from the Indian community and various communities to visit the event held in Al Suwaidi Park, noting that the initiative is a renewed cultural window that reflects the Kingdom’s position as a bridge for communication between peoples and a center for global cultural creativity.

It is noteworthy that the Indian Culture Week presents a group of activities that reflect the depth and diversity of Indian heritage, and includes traditional and heritage artistic performances, in addition to handicraft workshops, the art of henna engraving for which Indian culture is famous, and other experiences.
