Shabab Al-Ahly will meet Al-Jazira tomorrow in the semi-finals of the President’s Cup
Abu Dhabi, March 20 / WAM / Tomorrow, Shabab Al-Ahly will meet Al-Jazira at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the first match of the semi-finals of the His Highness the President of the UAE Football Cup, while the second match will bring together United and Al-Ain teams in Al Nahyan Stadium on Sunday.
Shabab Al-Ahly qualified for this round after defeating Khor Fakkan 3-1, in the quarter-finals, while Al-Jazira qualified after defeating Baniyas 2-1 in the same round.
Shabab Al-Ahly coach Paulo Souza said: This match requires the highest levels of concentration and competitiveness. We did not reach the semi-finals by chance, but rather thanks to the winning mentality that we work with throughout the season. We have to be disciplined and committed tactically.
For his part, Marino Pusic, coach of the Al Jazira team, said during the press conference for the match: We are preparing for a difficult confrontation against Shabab Al-Ahly, and we are aware of the size of the challenge facing the defending champion. We respect the opponent well, but we trust ourselves and strive to reach the final.
