Humaid bin Rashid: Flag Day is a renewal of the covenant so that the nation’s flag will remain fluttering with pride and glory
Ajman, 3rd November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, affirmed that the flag of the United Arab Emirates is the symbol of our unity, the symbol of the union of our hearts, and the source of our pride. We renew the pledge to preserve and elevate it, and we sacrifice it with our soul so that its flag will continue to fly high with pride and glory.
In a speech on the occasion of Flag Day, His Highness extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and their brothers, Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of the Presidential Office, and the people of the Emirates and residents of this land. Blessed.
His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi expressed his pride in this national occasion, which embodies the meanings of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, enhances the spirit of cohesion among the members of society, and unites efforts to continue the path of development and prosperity that the country continues to tread firmly on its path.
His Highness said: “On the third of November every year, we celebrate Flag Day, and we celebrate it with pride under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, who carried the trust and followed the path of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his brothers, the founding fathers, who laid the foundations of the union and built a country that transcended the present into the future.”
His Highness the Ruler of Ajman explained that the flag is a symbol of identity and belonging, embodying a person’s connection to his homeland and culture, and it is an immortal national memory that carries stories of struggle, founding, and construction, and recalls the heroism of the men who gave their lives so that the nation’s flag remains tall and proud, embracing the sky.
His Highness said that Flag Day embodies the meanings of cohesion among the people of the Emirates, and expresses the depth of belonging to this benevolent and generous nation. It is a national occasion in which feelings of loyalty are renewed, and in which flags are raised above homes and in the squares as a witness to the love of the nation and the willingness of its people to make precious and precious efforts to preserve and raise its flag, so that it remains a symbol of the strength and majesty of the Emirates.
