The Head of State receives the Turkish Foreign Minister

Abu Dhabi, March 20 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today His Excellency Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
His Highness and the Turkish Minister exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, praying to God Almighty to bring it back to the two countries and their people with goodness and blessings and to the entire world with security and peace.
The Turkish Foreign Minister conveyed to His Highness the President the greetings of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Turkish Republic, and his wishes for continued prosperity for the UAE, while His Highness conveyed to him his greetings to the Turkish President and his wishes for Turkey further progress.
During the meeting, His Excellency renewed Türkiye’s condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting the UAE and countries in the region, as they represent a violation of sovereignty and international laws and a threat to regional stability.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Hakan Fidan also discussed the military escalation in the region and its dangerous repercussions on regional and international security and stability, stressing the need to stop the escalation and give priority to dialogue and diplomatic solutions to spare the region from further tensions and crises.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of senior officials.
