His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, raised the state flag on the flagpole of Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi, to celebrate the occasion of “Flag Day,” and to express pride in the meanings of loyalty, belonging, and pride in unity under his lofty banner.

The flag-raising ceremony was accompanied by the playing of the UAE’s national anthem, with the participation of a group of retired officers, as an expression of the state’s appreciation for its sons who contributed to the various stages of its development and renaissance, and in loyalty and gratitude for their journey of giving and what they have provided over the decades for the sake of elevating the nation, preserving its security, and preserving its gains so that it remains dear and proud.

On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “On the occasion of (Flag Day), a symbol of our unity and pride, we raised the flag of the Emirates with the participation of a group of the nation’s retired officers, who contributed to the country’s development process and building its renaissance.” His Highness affirmed the loyalty and dedication of the nation’s people, generation after generation, to his service, with love and a firm belief in the shared responsibility towards raising his flag tall with pride and invincibility.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, in a blog post on his official account on the “X” platform, yesterday: “On the occasion of Flag Day, we raised the state flag and the symbol of its pride at Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi, in the company of a number of retired officers.” His Highness added: “The people of the Emirates, generation after generation, unite in love of the nation, dedication to its service, and belief in shared responsibility towards raising its flag flying.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met a group of retired officers at Al Bateen Palace, who expressed their happiness at meeting His Highness and their pride and pride in participating in this precious national occasion.

In a friendly initiative, His Highness was keen to accompany them during their move from Al Bateen Palace to Al Hosn Palace, recalling the positions that His Highness had shared with them, and the meetings that brought them together. His Highness stressed that the UAE is loyal to its people, and that the experiences of the nation’s retirees are a national asset in enhancing the nation’s development process and progress in the present and future, and a source of inspiration from which generations draw the values ​​of loyalty, belonging, and giving to this good land and its loyal people.
