53 thousand new companies join the Dubai Chamber of Commerce within 9 months

Dubai, November 4, 2017 – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, recorded 53,838 new companies joining its membership during the first nine months of the current year, with a growth rate of 4% compared to the same period last year.

The Chamber said in a press release today that this growth reflects the emirate’s attractiveness and its growing ability to attract foreign direct investment, thus consolidating its position as a leading global business destination.

The value of exports and re-exports of chamber members increased during the first nine months of 2025 to about 260 billion dirhams, a growth of 16% on an annual basis.

The Chamber issued 627,908 certificates of origin, an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2024. It also issued and received 3,743 temporary merchandise entry books for goods and merchandise worth 3.69 billion dirhams.

His Excellency Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, said that Dubai, under the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, is steadily moving forward in strengthening its leadership among financial and business centers internationally, supported by an integrated business environment that enhances investors’ confidence in the promising prospects of the national economy.

He stressed the continued intensification of efforts to strengthen the integrated business system in line with the aspirations of investors, by developing the flexibility of the legislative environment that stimulates growth, opening new horizons for expansion in global markets and strengthening international partnerships to achieve the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda “D33” and moving forward towards a more competitive and sustainable economy.

During the first nine months of this year, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce succeeded in supporting the global expansion of 90 local companies with a growth rate of 20%, compared to 75 companies that supported their expansion in foreign markets during the same period in 2024.

During the first nine months of 2025, the Chamber, in cooperation with business groups, reviewed 42 laws and draft laws with a rate of adoption of private sector recommendations amounting to 64% compared to 49% during the same period last year. The Chamber also held 124 meetings with business groups and councils, an increase of 41% compared to the same period last year.

During the first half of this year, the Chamber organized 25 legal events that varied between seminars and awareness workshops on the legislative and legal system, attended by 1,702 participants from the business community, while during the first nine months of the year it received 146 mediation cases, an increase of 11% on an annual basis, with a total value exceeding 230 million dirhams.

The Dubai Family Business Center, which operates under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, launched three specialized advisory services during the first nine months of this year, including the service of assessing the current situation and reviewing the family charter, the service of drafting the family charter, and the family office planning service, with the aim of improving the integrated capabilities of family businesses operating in Dubai in a way that enhances their readiness for the future.

The Center also issued the first guidebook that includes an integrated register for family business consultants in Dubai, with the aim of enabling these companies to effectively and efficiently obtain specialized advisory services in all vital fields related to the various administrative and operational aspects.

The guide provides an effective means of developing mechanisms for linking family businesses with consultants specialized in family businesses.

The first nine months of this year witnessed the graduation of the second batch of the Dubai Family Business Management Program, which included 29 participants, while the Center organized two sessions of the Next Generation Training Program in Family Businesses, which is based on the most important international standards and constitutes a transformative leadership experience to provide the next generation in family businesses with leadership, governance and entrepreneurship skills.

During the first nine months of this year, the Center organized four events within the “Governance Series,” which included rich insights from global experts and local leaders.
