"Arab development" Negotiations are underway to establish companies to transfer advanced technology in the oil and gas industry

Abu Dhabi, 5 November / WAM / Yousef Mohammed Al Nowais, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Arab Development Foundation, said that the global energy sector is witnessing a radical transformation based on the axes of the use of artificial intelligence, innovation and sustainability, stressing that Arab Development, as a reliable partner in the oil and gas sector in the Emirates, is keen to effectively and seriously contribute to supporting government efforts led by ADNOC, which aims to link global innovation with local value creation, and place the country at the forefront of disseminating advanced technology.

He added that Arab Development is currently conducting negotiations with a number of companies that it represents in the country to establish joint companies that contribute to the transfer of advanced technology and strengthen the industrial base of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and contribute to supporting the government agencies’ direction towards transforming the emirate into a regional and global center in the industrial and oil field.

Al Nowais said on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference “ADIPEC 2025” that Arab Development, through its strategic partnerships with many international companies operating in the oil and energy sector, works to translate global innovation into practical and scalable solutions in the UAE and also contributes to accelerating the implementation of the energy transformation agenda by providing the latest technologies and services from its growing global network of strategic partners to the main stakeholders in the sector.

He explained that Arab development projects in the oil and energy sector are based on enhancing efficiency and impact by adopting artificial intelligence and automation solutions, pointing to the “Taqana” project that the company launched in cooperation with Schneider Electric last year, which aims to supply switching equipment, energy management technologies, and automation to ADNOC and Taqa.

He added that the project, which is compatible with ADNOC’s program to enhance national content and “Made in the UAE”, contributes to reducing the total cost through predictive maintenance, enhancing safety by monitoring risk factors in real time, increasing reliability through continuous performance analyses, in addition to simplifying operations through unified dashboards and automated insights.

Al Nowais said that Arab Development, which represents more than 240 international companies in the field of gas, oil field services and energy, is keen to participate in the ADIPEC 2025 exhibition and conference, which is the largest global platform in the oil and gas industry since the past 38 years, calling on the organizers of the exhibition to extend its days in the upcoming sessions to provide a greater opportunity for companies to exchange experiences and knowledge, conclude deals and conduct negotiations in order to develop the oil and gas industries.

He praised the development of the oil and gas industry in the country, the expansion of oil and gas production, and the entry into new industries of the petroleum, gas and petrochemical industries. He stressed that these developments prompted companies in the private sector to enter into conglomerates with international companies to implement the proposed projects.
