The governor of Digital Government Authority M. Ahmed Al-Sawyan The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a leading global model in harnessing Technology to serve humanity, praising the support of the wise leadership – may God support it – to provide the best government digital services, and the follow-up that the digital government received through the executive programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which contributed to the Kingdom’s progress in international indicators, as it ranks first regionally and third globally.
This came during his opening speech on the first day of the Digital Government Forum 2025 in its fourth edition, held in the capital, Riyadh, under the slogan "Our future is now"
Al-Sawyan said: "No matter how tools change or technologies develop, the goals remain constant, which are to increase productivity, achieve efficiency, and improve the beneficiary experience"praising the leaps made by government agencies in this aspect, and their transition from the stage of digital transformation to artificial intelligence."
Enhancing the Kingdom’s digital leadership
The first day of the forum witnessed a keynote speech delivered by the Director of the National Information Center at the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Dr. Issam bin Abdullah Al-Waqit, during which he reviewed the success story of the Tawakkalna application and its role in enhancing the Kingdom’s digital leadership towards building an integrated digital environment that puts human service at the top of its priorities.
It also included a session for the CEO of Humane Company, Tariq Amin, entitled "From Riyadh to the world: shaping the future of artificial intelligence"During which he discussed the most prominent global trends in artificial intelligence technologies, and the Kingdom’s growing role in shaping the future of technology and employing it to serve humanity and improve the quality of life.
Integration of digital government services
And he participated in another session entitled "From vision to implementation: integration of digital government services" Both His Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Assistant Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Shared Services, Ismail Al-Ghamdi, and Executive Director General of Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard, Dr. Bandar Al-Qenawy.
They discussed how the unified digital architecture contributed to enabling government agencies to develop integrated services that are provided to beneficiaries with ease and high efficiency.
Results of the Digital Content Efficiency Index
The forum witnessed the announcement of the results of the Digital Content Efficiency Index for the year 2025, which achieved a rate of 76.24%, registering a proficient level, in addition to honoring those who qualified for the 2025 Innovation Challenge Accelerator in appreciation of their achievements and their role in supporting… National digital transformation.
On its first day, the forum also celebrated the winners and distinguished people of the Digital Government Award 2025.
The activities of the first day included a number of interactive workshops and specialized sessions that addressed topics of innovation in the government sector, and the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in developing services and improving the beneficiary’s experience.
The forum will continue its activities tomorrow with a group of leadership sessions and dialogues, in addition to an exhibition "Saudi Digital"which includes more than 40 government and private entities showcasing their initiatives and achievements in the field of digital transformation.
