Dammam culture.. "Untitled" An art exhibition that recalls rural scenes in"Thread and burlap"

Concluded Culture and Arts Society in Dammam The art exhibition (untitled) by the artist Hayat Saqr, which brought approximately 30 artworks to the association’s headquarters in the Nahda neighborhood.
The exhibition lasted for 10 days, with artworks that wove threads with burlap, to be more expressive than words, and about 150 students from some schools visited it.

Threads Dialogue

Hayat Saqr said that the basic material in her works is thread, and that she loved this experience and gave her its secrets, immersed in Working for more than a year, she added: I enter my studio every day as a person walking towards the unknown, and I play with the threads that take me where they want, and sometimes where I want.

She continued: The threads were calling for me to dialogue with them, and I left my feelings complete freedom, so distant scenes of my upbringing in the countryside came back to my memory. Thus, I began to invite to the paintings people with expectant faces looking forward to tomorrow.

She indicated that early upbringing in the countryside enriched her imagination, so she could live Her adventures with the thread, sometimes she felt satisfied and sometimes she was surprised by the result, and after the long conversations she had with the thread, she felt that she had a human feeling.

The material of the thread and the burlap

Hayat Saqr says about the exhibition "Untitled"It is the address that she has been living with for years, and the people in the paintings are people from outside time and place. She said: I tried to convey their feelings and pain and expressed them in my own way and style with spontaneity and a state of awareness regarding the eye in her works. The technique is a different material from the usual, and the thread and burlap are a friendly material to me, and this is the right of the artist, and it is a state of rebellion against all academic and classical components and school teachings.

Various activities

The association concluded. Last October, with several events, including the dialogue meeting of the Eastern Province theater groups and their international presence in theatrical festivals, the art exhibition 30 * 30 Possibilities for art that do not end on October 9, and the poetry evening Clouds Beyond the Horizon by the poets Muhammad Khadr and Shafiq Al-Abadi, and moderated by the poet Farid Al-Nimr.
And the association’s participation as a knowledge partner in the handicrafts exhibition organized by The Eastern Region Development Authority in Scitech, and the association’s participation in the crafts and handicrafts exhibition at the Dhahran Expo Center, organized by the Asharqia Chamber.

The association also participates in the Literary Partner Initiative in its fifth edition, and presented a lecture on the mind in society, the mind in the text, an introduction to the book The Soul and the Novel by Abdullah Al-Wasali, and an evening for the poets Abdullah Bukhamseen and the poet Sheikh Sanaani.
And the evening of art and beauty, a dialogue poetry evening between Purpose and Shadows by the poet Amer bin Fahd, and the dialogue was moderated by the writer Noura Al-Maghribi.

The association seeks during the current month to hold several events related to theater, Arabic calligraphy, and periodic art exhibitions that enhance the value of visual culture to society.
