The Artificial Intelligence Exhibition introduces innovative government solutions and projects in "Advanced technology"

Abu Dhabi, November 6, 2017 – The Office of Artificial Intelligence, the Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, as part of the activities of the annual meetings of the UAE Government 2025 in the capital, Abu Dhabi, organized the Artificial Intelligence Exhibition, which highlighted the most prominent innovative government solutions and projects and leading smart applications that embody the UAE government’s commitment to digital innovation and consolidating the role of modern technology as an effective tool for serving society and promoting sustainable development.

Through its digital platform, the exhibition included a group of initiatives that employ artificial intelligence and digital transformation technologies in various sectors, in a way that enhances the efficiency of government performance, improves the quality of services, and contributes to supporting the achievement of the goals of the “UAE Centennial 2071.”

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, stressed that the UAE government adopts a clear vision to enhance the readiness of government agencies to keep pace with the rapid transformations and shape the future, and to benefit from artificial intelligence tools to provide more efficient services to society.

He explained that the government is placing investment in modern technology and artificial intelligence at the heart of its future strategies, with the aim of developing the government work system, enhancing its efficiency in providing services, and adopting digital solutions, which contributes to improving the quality of life of society.

He pointed out that the current stage is witnessing the launch of digital projects and innovative initiatives that consolidate the UAE’s position as a global center for artificial intelligence and the digital economy, enhancing its competitiveness and leadership at the regional and international levels.

The exhibition includes digital solutions provided by various entities in the country, such as the solutions of the Emirates Health Services Corporation to enhance artificial intelligence in health services and community protection, represented by the smart medical imaging pavilion, which represents an integrated set of diagnostic tools based on artificial intelligence for the early detection of breast cancer, tuberculosis, stroke, and osteoporosis, which raises the accuracy of diagnosis and speed of response and enhances the preventive medicine system.

The accompanying exhibition includes the “Human Resources Assistant supported by artificial intelligence,” which was developed by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and is based on generative artificial intelligence techniques, to provide more than 100 services and legal inquiries for federal government employees, with multilingual voice and written support, to enable more than 50,000 employees in 40 federal agencies, which raises the efficiency of human resources services and enhances compliance with government policies.

It also includes “tax service automation” supported by artificial intelligence, which was developed by the Federal Tax Authority, as a hybrid system that combines artificial intelligence and robotic process automation (RPA) to accelerate the processing of value-added tax, corporate tax, and refunds, with a saving rate of up to 70% of time and more than 14 thousand working hours annually.

The exhibition is known for the technology of “granting work permits to establishments using artificial intelligence,” which aims to automate and determine the appropriate amount of work for each employee using machine learning models such as “KNN,” “Random Forest,” and “XG Post.” The platform achieves an accuracy of up to 88%, three times faster processing, and reduces manual review by 75%, which contributes to simplifying operations and is in line with the “Zero government bureaucracy” program and raising the efficiency of services. The technology succeeded in determining the appropriate amount of work for each employee for more than 600 employees. One thousand companies in the country.

The exhibition includes the platforms of the UAE Cyber Security Council, which enhance the digital security system and the national response to crises, represented by the “Artificial Intelligence Emergency and Crisis Management Platform,” which is a comprehensive national system that uses smart assistants and generative models to coordinate crisis response across more than 20 federal and local entities, which increases the speed of coordination and accuracy of reports, and the “Artificial Intelligence Platform for Predicting Cyber Threats,” which is a global system that relies on predictive analytics and network intelligence to predict cyber attacks and share Information between more than 40 countries, and the “Smart National Platform for Cybersecurity Monitoring,” which is a sovereign system supported by multiple intelligence in artificial intelligence agents to monitor and address challenges, analyze more than a billion records per month and reduce human errors by 70%, which makes the UAE a regional center for cybersecurity based on artificial intelligence.

The exhibition includes the “Geospatial Intelligence Platform supported by artificial intelligence (GIQ), which was developed by the UAE Space Agency and Space 42 on the Microsoft Azure platform, which is a national platform that integrates data from more than 300 satellites and 47 artificial intelligence models to provide real-time analyzes of climate, urban planning, and disaster response.

These pioneering projects embody the UAE government’s ambition to make artificial intelligence a main focus for every service and decision, and confirm that smart transformation is not only a technical goal, but rather a comprehensive humanitarian vision that puts people at the heart of development, and consolidates the UAE’s position as a global model for proactive digital government.
