Vietnam announces the closure of 6 airports as the typhoon approaches "Kalmaji"


Vietnam closed six airports as from the land in the central regions of the country today, indicating that will affect hundreds of flights.

The Vietnamese National Hydrological Forecast Center said in a statement that the hurricane is expected to make landfall in the early hours of tomorrow, along the coast from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak.

The center expected that the hurricane would be accompanied by precipitation in several areas, with the possibility of flash floods in rivers and small streams.

Landslides are also expected on slopes, and flooding in low-lying and urban areas.
