Trump’s most famous opponent: Nancy Pelosi announces her retirement in 2027

The Democratic representative announced Pelosi has the most famous shot against the US President Donald Trump, when she tore up a copy of his speech paper after he delivered the annual State of the Union address in 2020, and also threatened to beat him when his supporters stormed the Capitol building in 2021.
Pelosi, 85, said on social media today, Thursday, in a video clip addressed to the residents of San Francisco, which she has represented since 1987: "I have truly enjoyed representing your voice in Congress"
