The Ministry of Defense announces opportunities to join the elite General Maintenance Corps

The UAE Ministry of Defense announced the opening of registration to join the elite General Maintenance Corps technicians, as part of its ongoing efforts to qualify qualified national cadres who possess advanced technical skills in the fields of maintenance and technical support.

The Ministry, in a publication on X on Thursday, specified a set of conditions that must be met by those wishing to join, the most prominent of which is that the applicant must be a citizen of the UAE (male), must have a twelfth grade certificate with a grade of no less than 70%, must have completed national service and have the required medical fitness, and the age of the applicant must be between 18 and 27 years, and he must successfully pass the personal interview.
Those accepted will undergo a two-year study program, which includes practical and theoretical training, with a monthly salary and allowances during study, in addition to free housing for expatriates outside the city of Abu Dhabi. After fulfilling the program requirements, graduates receive a diploma certificate accredited by the Higher Colleges of Technology. The graduate is also granted a military rank and financial support that starts from 3,000 dirhams and may reach 12,000 dirhams.
