Petro Rabigh’s losses decreased by 4.9% to 1.2 billion riyals in the third quarter

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company’s losses decreased "Petro Rabigh" In the third quarter of 2025, by 4.9% to 1.2 billion riyals, compared to 1.3 billion riyals in the same quarter of last year.

According to the company’s statement on the website "Saudi Arabia trading"The reason for the decrease in net loss during the current quarter compared to the same quarter of the previous year is due to the decrease in financing costs as a result of the decrease in the reference interest rate in the current quarter, which contributed to reducing financing costs and thus reducing the net loss.

This decrease in net loss was partially offset by the decrease in profit margin and sales quantities of petrochemical products, as a result of difficult market conditions.

The reason for the decrease in net loss during the current quarter compared to the previous quarter is mainly due to the resumption of normal operations at the company’s complex, after the complete suspension. The company’s complex for a period of 60 days during the previous quarter in order to conduct comprehensive and scheduled periodic maintenance of all operational facilities and production units.

The reason for the decrease in net loss during the current period compared to the similar period of the previous year is due to the decrease in financing costs as a result of the founding shareholders’ waiver of the company’s obligation to repay shareholders’ renewable loans, in addition to the decrease in the reference interest rate in the current period.

These factors contributed to reducing financing costs and thus reducing the net loss during the current period.

This improvement is indicated. This was partially offset by the decrease in profit margin and the decrease in sales quantities of some petrochemical products as a result of difficult market conditions, in addition to the complete shutdown of the company’s complex for a period of 60 days during the current period in order to conduct comprehensive and scheduled periodic maintenance of all operational facilities and production units.
