The President of Chad and Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed witness the announcement of 18 memorandums of understanding between the UAE and Chad

ABU DHABI, 10 November / WAM / His Excellency Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, President of the friendly Republic of Chad, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, witnessed the announcement of the signing of 18 memorandums of understanding between the UAE and the Republic of Chad, on the sidelines of the activities of the UAE-Chad Trade and Investment Forum, which was hosted by the capital, Abu Dhabi.

The memorandums of understanding that were signed included vital economic sectors such as energy, infrastructure and industry, which contributes to opening new paths for trade and investment and strengthening development partnerships between the two countries.

The forum also witnessed the signing of 21 additional memorandums of understanding between Chad and various countries and international institutions.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that these memorandums reflect the strength of bilateral relations between the UAE and Chad, and constitute an important step towards expanding the horizons of cooperation in a way that serves common interests and enhances sustainable development efforts.

For his part, Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno expressed his happiness with the historical relations between Chad and the UAE, stressing that this strategic partnership represents a model of fruitful cooperation that achieves mutual interests for the benefit of the two countries and their friendly peoples, and paves the way for building a comprehensive relationship that benefits from the UAE’s expertise in the fields of energy, infrastructure and innovation.
