Cairo Film Festival announces the final list of competition films "Critics Week"

The Cairo International Film Festival announced the final list of films for the Critics Week Competition, within the activities of its forty-sixth session, which is held from November 12 to 21, 2025, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

This year, the competition includes eight films from various international productions, reflecting the richness of human experiences and the diversity of cinematic visions of young directors around the world, which are:

«Siblings» Directed by Greta Scarano (Italy),

«An Odyssey of Joy» Lezjem Terzigi (Kosovo, France),

«Land of the Cane» By Sven Presser (Netherlands, Belgium),

«At my parents’ house» By Tim Elrich (Germany),

«Do You Love Me» By Lana Daher (France, Lebanon, Germany, Qatar),

&laquo “That Summer in Paris” By Valentin Cadec (France),

«Habibi Hussein» By Alex Bakri (Palestine, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Sweden),

and “The Botanist” By Jing Yi (China).

The Critics Week Competition is one of the most prominent sections of the Cairo Film Festival, as it highlights new cinematic voices and provides a space for emerging talents to present their creative visions to audiences and critics from around the world.
