Dubai, November 12 / WAM / The Dubai International Financial Center will host the twentieth edition of “Nights of Art” evenings tomorrow until November 16, with wide participation that includes more than 200 artworks and 150 artists from more than 100 nationalities.
These evenings bring together leaders of thought and society through artistic experiences, public arts, and inspiring dialogues that celebrate art, culture, and creativity under the Dubai sky, which confirms the center’s pioneering role in enriching the artistic and cultural scene in the emirate.
The evenings will witness the launch of the immersive “Fadaa” exhibition experience, created by “Elivision”, a company specializing in interactive digital experiences, in cooperation with “Canvas” for artistic media and under the supervision of artistic consultant Astrid Lessois.
This exhibition transforms the Gate Village area into a world where the elements of light and movement intersect in the first experience of its kind in this field.
During the event, the Phoenix Art Group brings together twenty artists to create live paintings in a symbolic tribute to ten years of creativity in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
The event includes the presentation of more live artwork, including a live art performance performed by artist Nour Bazarbashi on one of the walls within the art exhibition.
“Nights of Art” evenings will host five digital performances, including the first showing in the UAE of the work “Naudius: by artist Tim Christie in cooperation with The Grid Agency”, which is a work that takes visitors on an integrated sensory journey of visual and audio effects and narrative content.
This digital presentation hosts a series of discussion sessions organized by Christie’s and the Z Arts platform, with the participation of a group of speakers, including Alia Al Zarouni, Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai International Financial Center Authority; Emirati artist Azza Al Qubaisi; Her Excellency Natalia Al Mansour, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the UAE, and Itziar Salgado, General Manager and Director of Operations at Christie’s in the Middle East; and Zahira Muthi, President and Founder of Z Arts platform and Art Connects Women exhibition.
The event continues to support emerging talent by issuing an open call for artistic works, which are subject to evaluation by the specialized artistic jury in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
In addition to the participation of regional and international artists, the “Nights of Art” evenings highlight the works of a group of Emirati talents, including Faiza Mohammed Hassan, Fares Al Kaabi, Hoda Al Rayes, Noura Al Ali, Salama Al Mazrouei, and Dr. Souad Al Shamsi, while resident art galleries participate, most notably the Perotin Gallery, which displays work by the artist Daniel Arsham, and the Opera Gallery, which presents works by the artist Daniel Hurd.
Throughout the four evenings, visitors can enjoy numerous live art performances, family workshops, and musical events.
The twentieth edition of the “Nights of Art” evening is held with the support of Christie’s, Dubai Culture, “Art Connects Women”, “Elivision”, and “Canvas”, and with the participation of hospitality partner “Gaia”.
