I feel very lucky to be alive

International artist Lady Gaga revealed the severe psychological crisis she suffered after filming the successful musical drama “A Star Is Born” in 2018.

Gaga explained in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine that she underwent lithium treatment during the filming of the film, and that the subsequent singing tours to launch her album “Joan,” released in 2016, worsened her psychological condition.

Gaga said: “I participated in the movie ‘A Star Is Born’ using lithium, and one day my sister said to me: ‘I don’t see my sister anymore,’ so I canceled the tour and went to the hospital to receive psychiatric treatment. I needed a break… I completely collapsed.”

She confirmed that the experience was very frightening, adding: “There was a time when I did not think I would get better… I feel very lucky to be alive.” (Emirates 24)
