Johannesburg.. Details of the Kingdom’s participation in the Start-up Summit
The Kingdom’s participation came, to enhance its presence within, where the summit witnessed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding, and discussed opportunities for cooperation with international organizations concerned with developing the Startups, and the Kingdom’s delegation presented a number of national experiences and initiatives that contributed to the growth of the entrepreneurial environment and the empowerment of youth in the Kingdom.
Saudi Pavilion
The Saudi Pavilion received broad interaction from representatives of participating countries and international investors, where the most prominent projects and initiatives that reflect the rapid development of the startup ecosystem in the Kingdom were introduced. The delegation also participated in a number of workshops and dialogue sessions that dealt with enhancing innovation and integration between sectors; To support entrepreneurial projects and achieve a sustainable economic impact globally.
In a prominent national achievement, a Saudi company achieved first place in the Sustainability and Environmental Technology category at the G20 Start-up Summit Awards in South Africa, in recognition of its innovative solutions and contribution to promoting green technologies and supporting the shift towards a more sustainable future. This victory is an affirmation of the ability of emerging Saudi companies to compete globally and provide pioneering solutions with an international impact.
At the conclusion of the summit, His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mansour affirmed, The Kingdom’s participation comes as an extension of its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and innovators, and reflects its progress in the field of entrepreneurship, which enhances its presence in international forums and contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 towards a diversified and sustainable economy based on creativity and promising opportunities.
