Laft competed in the second episode of the Fazza Youth Championship in Dubai

DUBAI, 16th November, 2017 (WAM) – The Al-Maidan Theater in Al-Marmoum in Dubai witnessed an enthusiastic atmosphere as the pace of competition escalated in the second episode of the 25th edition of the Fazza Youth Championship, and the 21st edition of the Al-Maidan Programme, organized by the Fazza Championships Administration at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival.
The participants gave outstanding performances that reflected their skills and the audience’s great interaction with the performance.
The competitions resulted in Hamdan Dhafer Al Ahbabi from Abu Dhabi qualifying after achieving 85 marks, Nahyan Misri Al Mansouri from Dubai with 55 marks, while Muhammad Saeed Al Shehhi from Sharjah came third with 50 marks, and Matar Muhammad Al Ketbi came fourth with 30 marks.
Al-Yawila competed in six main challenges, including Al-Yawla, which awards 25 marks, and the challenge of installing a shaddad, which constitutes the most prominent addition this season, in addition to swimming, archery, counting poems, and running with a camel.
The participants in the Al-Yawla Challenge, under the supervision of referee Khalifa Bin Sabeen, excelled to the tune of the season’s new song, “Salt of the Emirates.” Both Al-Ahbabi and Al-Shehhi were able to ring the bells of the field after reaching a height of 20 meters in the weapon’s movement and achieved the full mark. Bin Sabeen also provided a set of instructions to improve performance and develop capture skills and accuracy of rhythm.
In the rest of the challenges, Al-Ahbabi and Al-Mansouri excelled in swimming and archery, while Al-Shehhi and Al-Mansouri obtained the highest marks in the poem-counting challenge under the supervision of poet Atiq Salem Al-Kaabi.
The camel race, which was held on the Al-Marmoum track, witnessed the brilliance of Al-Ahbabi and Al-Kutbi, obtaining full marks.
