Fruit prices rose in Saudi Arabia during October… and pomegranates declined the most


The General Authority for Statistics reported an increase in the prices of fruits in Saudi Arabia during the month of October 2025 compared to the previous month of September, as 10 varieties witnessed an increase in prices, while the prices of only 4 varieties decreased, and the price of one variety stabilized at its previous level.

Rise in tangerines and grapes

Lebanese grapes also recorded a noticeable increase by 7%, bringing the price of a kilogram to 15.2 riyals compared to 14.2 riyals in the previous month, and local grapes increased by 5.6%, recording 13.5 riyals in October compared to 12.7 riyals in September.

Philippine bananas (sharbatli) also recorded an increase of 3.3%, as the price of a kilo reached 6.2 riyals in October compared to only 6 riyals in September, and Pakistani mangoes rose by 2% to 12.9 riyals in October compared to 12.7 riyals in the previous month.

Dates and Figs

The price of (rutab) dates increased by 1.8% to record 14.4 riyals in October compared to 14.2 riyals in the previous September, while the stored dates (Ikhlas) settled at 15.7 riyals per kilo, without significant change from the previous month.

Local figs recorded an increase of 3.8%, recording 14.9 riyals in October, compared to 14.4 riyals in September, while African lemons rose 1.5% in October, recording 9 riyals, compared to 8.8 riyals in September.

Pomegranate leads the declines

It was Indian pomegranates declined the most in October compared to the previous month, as they fell by 6.9% from 13.9 riyals to 12.9 riyals.

The price of local cantaloupe decreased by 0.5% to 4.4 riyals per kilo, while the price of local watermelon increased by 1.5% to reach 3.3 riyals per kilo.

Variation of apples, plums and peaches

As for red American apples, they rose Its price increased by 2.1%, recording 9.2 riyals per kilo in October compared to 9 riyals in September, while yellow apples witnessed a slight decline from 9.4 riyals per kilo in September to 9.3 riyals in October.

Lebanese pears (medium) recorded relative stability at 11.9 riyals per kilo, while the price of Lebanese peaches increased by 2.7% to record 15.3 riyals per kilo during October.

The price of Turkish plums decreased by 2.5%, reaching 15 riyals per kilo in October, compared to 15.4 riyals in the previous September.
