Dibba Society for Culture and Arts organizes the Popular Arts Forum
Fujairah, November 16 / WAM / The Dibba Society for Culture, Arts and Theater yesterday organized the Popular Arts Forum in its third edition, with wide participation that embodied interest in reviving local heritage and enhancing its presence in community awareness.
The forum included live performances by folk arts groups, a folk singing segment, in addition to a symposium entitled “Emirati Folk Arts… A Renewed Legacy,” which addressed the importance of folk arts and their role in strengthening national identity, in addition to a special honoring segment for the participants in appreciation of their contributions to supporting artistic and heritage initiatives.
The heritage items added a distinctive artistic atmosphere that reflected the spirit of authenticity and Emirati aesthetics, and consolidated the association’s role in preserving and reviving popular arts in a way that enhances its presence in the cultural scene.
