"Bruges" provide "rox motor" With specialized products to manufacture a new SUV
Abu Dhabi, November 18 / WAM / Borouge PLC and Rox Motor Company announced today that Borouge’s advanced, lightweight polyolefin solutions will be used in 17 parts of the new “ADAMAS” SUV produced by Rox, in a move that enhances sustainable mobility solutions and builds a strong and competitive industrial base in the UAE.
The agreement comes as one of the results of the cooperation announced during the “Make in the UAE” Forum 2025 event, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, to enhance efforts aimed at localizing production and accelerating the development of an advanced future automotive sector in the UAE.
Borouge’s advanced solutions are designed to reduce vehicle weight, improve energy efficiency and support recyclability, in line with the growing global demand for sustainable automotive solutions.
Earlier this year, Borouge and Rox Motor launched their joint innovation laboratory in Shanghai, with the aim of enhancing research efforts in the field of advanced polyolefin products that are distinguished by their sustainable design and light weight, in line with the requirements of manufacturing the next generation of cars.
Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, CEO of Borouge, expressed his pride in the partnership with Rox Motor, which embodies the practical results of joint efforts in the field of innovation and manufacturing advanced products, pointing out that this partnership confirms Borouge’s pivotal role in supporting the growth of the industrial sector in the UAE.
He added that by employing our expertise in the field of polyolefin products to develop lightweight parts for the ADAMAS car and expanding our capabilities in the field of research and development through our joint innovation laboratory, we are contributing together to building a more competitive and sustainable manufacturing sector, in line with the “Make in the Emirates” initiative aimed at strengthening the local manufacturing base and supporting innovation in the UAE.
For his part, Jarvis Yan, founder and CEO of Rox Motor Company, said that by launching the “ADAMAS” car from Rox, the partnership with Borouge is embodied on the ground, as we transform innovation from the laboratory stage into real experiences for customers.
He added that by integrating Borouge’s advanced polyolefin solutions into 17 main parts, “ADAMAS” embodies the joint endeavors to provide products that are lighter in weight, stronger in performance, and longer lasting, thus enhancing the technical excellence on which Rox’s “Performance Premium” philosophy is based.
In line with the “Make in the UAE” initiative, this partnership confirms Borouge’s role in enhancing the “National Content Enhancement” program and consolidating the UAE’s position as a global center for advanced manufacturing and innovation.
