Flydubai chooses “Starlink” as a partner for Internet services on board its aircraft

Flydubai today announced that it has signed an agreement with SpaceX to provide Starlink services, the most advanced satellite constellation in the world, on board its growing fleet.

This service will provide high-speed and responsive Internet, capable of providing live broadcasts, electronic games, video calls, etc., as a qualitative shift that the carrier aims to achieve in the travel experience on board the company’s aircraft.

The announcement was made during the Dubai Airshow 2025, highlighting flydubai’s commitment to investing in technologies that redefine modern air travel. Under this agreement, Starlink will become the communications service provider on board Flydubai’s Boeing 737 fleet, with the service being provided on 100 aircraft in the year 2026.

This partnership will enable flydubai to provide high-speed connectivity in the air across more than 100 destinations, enabling customers to stay connected, productive and always entertained from the moment of take-off until arrival.

Providing the fastest speeds and lowest latency available in commercial aviation today, Starlink enables a broadband Internet experience with seamless in-flight service. Passengers will be able to enjoy high-definition streaming and instant digital services simultaneously, supported by Starlink’s growing global capacity. With installation times measured in hours rather than days, flydubai aims to provide the service to the majority of its fleet next year 2026.

With Starlink services on board Flydubai aircraft, the carrier joins a growing number of global airlines that are adopting the next generation of Internet service on board their aircraft, which distinguishes it mainly in providing a world-class experience for leisure and business travelers alike.
