“Sharjah Executive” issues a decision regarding granting supportive aid to eligible groups of citizens

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired the Council meeting, which was held on Tuesday morning, in the office of His Highness the Ruler.

The Council discussed a number of topics on the agenda related to monitoring the performance of government departments and bodies, and reviewing the progress of development projects in the cities and regions of the emirate, which is reflected at the level of individuals in society and providing them with decent livelihoods.

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Council issued a decision regarding granting additional qualitative supportive aid in the Emirate of Sharjah. The decision aims to enhance the social and economic stability of national families, provide care and support for the elderly, people with disabilities, and the bedridden, and enable beneficiaries to manage their living affairs efficiently and independently.

The decision specified the categories eligible for assistance among citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah, namely: the head of the family, the bedridden elderly person, the bedridden person with disabilities, and the dependent elderly person, in addition to a number of legal articles concerned with the value of assistance, general conditions, special conditions, executive decisions, cancellation, enforcement and publication.

The Council adopted a draft law regarding the repeal of some provisions of Law No. (11) of 2017 regarding the organization of the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah, and directed the Council to refer it to the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah to complete its legislative session.
