In an unusual gesture, journalist Ahmed Schubert opened his episode of his radio program “With Schubert” on Radio On Sport FM today, Tuesday, by talking about the “State of Recitation” program, bypassing the sports issues with which he used to start his daily broadcast.
Schubert expressed his great admiration for the program, stressing that it had wide acceptance among the Egyptian public of all segments, noting that its positive impact It extended to include Christian brothers, explaining that he knows people among them who are keen to listen to the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.
Schubert greeted those responsible for choosing the name of the program, considering that it carries a strong connotation that reflects the value of recitation in the Egyptian conscience. He also praised the judging committee and the participants in the competition, praising Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, for what he described as the humility of scholars and his calm presence. Schubert explained that Egyptians grew up with the voices of great reciters such as Muhammad Rifaat, Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi, al-Tablawi and other symbols of recitation, stressing that Egypt is still full of unique Quranic voices that preserve this ancient heritage.
