Infantino justifies the rise in World Cup tickets

FIFA President Gianni Infantino justified the increase in World Cup tickets in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“The main, and so far only, source of FIFA’s revenue is the World Cup,” Infantino was quoted by L’Equipe newspaper as saying.
The FIFA president added: “We generate revenue in one month, and during the other 47 months, until the next World Cup, we spend this money.”
Infantino had previously said that the increase in tickets was normal in light of the high demand for them after FIFA received 150 million requests to obtain them.
This comes amid several crises surrounding the process of purchasing tickets, both in terms of the rise in prices that have reached several thousand dollars, as well as some technical problems that have appeared on the online booking site, in addition to the rise in parking prices.
