This came during His Highness’s visit today to the Dubai Airshow, which began yesterday under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, as part of the largest edition in the history of the major global event, which in this session witnesses the participation of more than 1,500 exhibitors and 490 military and civilian delegations from 115 countries.

His Highness stressed the great added value of the global event organized by Dubai every two years, saying: “Dubai Air Show has translated over the course of its successive sessions our vision of the importance of continuing joint work and concerted efforts to develop and build integrated global aviation capabilities based on innovation, sustainability, and activating fruitful partnerships. The presence of this large number of leading companies in the aviation industry is evidence of Dubai’s growing role in shaping the features of the future of the global aviation industry, and its support for efforts to build an advanced knowledge economy that keeps pace with our country’s aspirations for a more prosperous future.”

During the visit, His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, was keen to inspect some of the aircraft participating in the exhibition, which in its current session attracted more than 200 aircraft covering a wide range that includes commercial aircraft, military aircraft, business aircraft, and drones, in addition to the advanced aviation technologies included in the exhibition.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum watched the Bombardier Global 7500 aircraft, where His Highness listened to an explanation about the modern aircraft, which dates back to the start of manufacturing in 2024, and has a range of about 7,500 nautical miles, which can be upgraded to 8,000 nautical miles. The light aircraft, which reaches a length of 111 feet, can accommodate 19 passengers and is characterized by its high speed and ability to fly. Bombardier officials gave an explanation about the features of the aircraft designated for businessmen and VIPs, including high speed and operational flexibility, while its cabin was designed in a way that ensures a comfortable travel atmosphere, through noise reduction technologies and smart comfort systems, to present the image of the new generation of private aviation.

His Highness also visited the Gulfstream pavilion, where he was briefed on the advanced capabilities of the new G800 aircraft, which is considered among the highest-performance aircraft in the executive aviation sector. Company officials reviewed before His Highness the advantages that give the G800 a flight capacity of up to 8,000 nautical miles at high speed, making it a preferred choice for long-range non-stop flights. Company officials also provided an explanation of the aircraft’s internal innovations, including the smart cabin, advanced air purification systems, and comfort equipment that enhances passengers’ well-being during long flights.

His Highness also viewed the G700 aircraft displayed at the Gulfstream pavilion, which constitutes a model of the next generation of aircraft designated for senior executives with the largest cabin in its class. It is equipped with an intelligent lighting system that matches the biological rhythm of passengers to reduce fatigue, with many of the performance technologies that characterize the aircraft, including high cruise speed and fuel efficiency, along with advanced communications systems that allow a smooth and flexible travel experience for passengers.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum concluded his tour by visiting the pavilion of the Chinese airline “COMAC”, where he listened to a detailed presentation of the C919 aircraft, the first Chinese single-aisle commercial passenger aircraft, as the Chinese company seeks to consolidate its position in the global market and compete globally in the commercial aircraft sector. His Highness listened to an explanation about the capabilities of the aircraft, which was designed to accommodate up to 168 passengers, with significant improvements in fuel efficiency and digital aviation systems. The participation of this aircraft highlights China’s growing presence in the commercial aviation sector and its role in developing the global air transport system.

It is noteworthy that the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow is being held at Dubai World Central under the slogan “The Future Starts From Here,” with the participation of world aviation industry leaders to shape the next phase of the aviation and space sector.
