Ras Al Khaimah Police stopped 4 drivers who raced their vehicles

Ras Al Khaimah Police arrested 4 drivers; Because they raced in the vehicles they were driving in one of the areas of the emirate, their vehicles were impounded and strict rules and regulations were applied to them in light of the seriousness of their violation and its threat to the safety and lives of others.
Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Al Zaabi – Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police – indicated that a report was received about a number of vehicles racing against each other on one of the streets in the area. Accordingly, the identity of the competing vehicles – which number four vehicles – will be identified and monitored through the use of smart city systems and modern technologies provided by the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, which contribute to enhancing road security, reducing the number of traffic accidents and arresting violators.
He added that the necessary legal measures will be taken against them, while the vehicles were seized in accordance with the strict rules and regulations in force in the emirate. Due to the seriousness of this type of violation, which puts the lives of others at risk, the violation issued against them included the impoundment of vehicles for a period of 120 days, a 10,000 dirham fee for releasing each impoundment, a fine of two thousand dirhams for each driver, and the registration of 23 black points in their traffic files.
Lieutenant Colonel Al Zaabi stressed the necessity of full adherence and commitment by vehicle drivers and road users to traffic regulations and laws, and not to commit such types of aggravated violations that are of high risk to the perpetrators and to other members of the public, and which expose them to legal accountability and the resulting penalties, procedures, and payment of financial fines, stressing that the law will punish anyone who dares to endanger the lives, safety, and property of others.
He called on vehicle drivers and road users to respect the traffic regulations and laws that were originally in place. For their safety and the safety of others and to enhance road security, in line with the awareness and educational efforts made by the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command; As a contribution to achieving the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior in enhancing security and safety and making roads safer.
