Wednesday screenings…a rich cinematic day among the exhibition halls and industry events in"Cairo Cinema"

On Wednesday, November 19, the Cairo International Film Festival will witness a schedule full of cinematic screenings and industry events, with productions distributed among theatres, cinemas and art centres, presenting a wide panorama of experiences that touch upon creative diversity and richness of visions.

 

Shows begin at twelve noon with a group of films that open today with remarkable momentum, including the film “City of Sands” On the big stage, and “Against Cinema” In the Little Theater, and “The Dandelion Odyssey” In the Hanager Theater, and “Quail and Autumn” In the Hanager Cinema, alongside “A Palestinian on the Road” In Zamalek Cinema, and the film “Chopin, Sonata in Paris” At the Center for Artistic Creativity, to constitute an artistic launch that reflects the multiplicity of cinematic schools.

The screenings continue at three in the afternoon, as the Grand Theater receives the “Short Films Program 5,” while the Small Theater presents the film “That Summer in Paris.”

 The Hanager Theater shows the film “Woman and Child,” while the Hanager Cinema continues its presence with the film “Noah,” in addition to showing the film “Noah.” "Restoration" In Zamalek Cinema, and the movie “Atonement” At the Center for Artistic Creativity, in an artistic session in which human stories intersect with different visual styles.

 

The day reaches its climax with six o’clock in the evening shows, as the Grand Theater hosts the gala screening of the film “The Dragonfly,” in parallel with the film “Life After Siham.” At the Small Theater, and “Case 137” In the Hanager Theater, a group of films are also shown in the Zamalek cinemas, the Hanager and the Creativity Center.

 

In addition to the shows at Fox Mall of Egypt and Fox City Center Almaza, which present “Round 13” And “Soraya my love” And the "love triangle" And “Málaga Street”, in a wide cinematic scene that gives the recipient the opportunity to move freely between multiple worlds.

 

The cinematic screenings conclude at nine in the evening with a series of films that give the night its special flavour, as the film “Alienation” is shown. On the professional side, the activities of "Cairo Film Industry Days" Which opens at twelve noon with the honoring of director and producer Muhammad Qiblawi and Palestinian actor Adam Bakri at the Cairo Film Market at the Sofitel Hotel.

 

 And at two-thirty in the afternoon, a discussion session will be held entitled “Arab Cinematic Content: Crossing Borders and Sharing Stories.” With the participation of an elite group of Arab filmmakers and the direction of critic Mohamed Nabil on the open stage of the Opera House. The day concludes with an open dialogue at 4:30 with international artist Hiam Abbas about her artistic journey in acting and directing, moderated by writer Nahid Nasr. Therefore, today is an integrated cinematic day that combines the aesthetics of the screen with the depth of dialogue and communication, and enhances the festival’s position as a leading platform that embraces art and celebrates its makers.
