Volkswagen Bahrain launches the all-new Passat and Jetta in the Kingdom’s markets

Volkswagen Bahrain launched the all-new Volkswagen Passat and Jetta during the inauguration ceremony held at the Behbehani & Brothers headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister, Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, His Excellency the German Ambassador, Mr. Henning Simon, officials, and esteemed customers.

The Jetta and Passat enjoy a prominent position in the sedan market in the Kingdom, thanks to their perfect balance between the splendor of design, practical functionality, and German engineering, with a focus on precision, safety, and quality that distinguishes Volkswagen cars around the world. The return of the two cars represents a turning point in the brand’s history, as they have been redesigned to meet the needs of today’s customers while preserving the ancient heritage of the two cars.

The all-new Passat embodies the essence of the Volkswagen story in the world of sedans, as the company has so far sold more than 34 million Passat cars around the world, and this car continues to be a symbol of sophistication and reliability. This version is the longest in its class and the most spacious in the history of the Passat, as it redefines the concept of comfort for both the driver and passengers. Its most prominent features include the distinctive rear seats in its class, equipped with ventilation, massage and reclining functions, which turns every trip into an exceptional experience that mimics business class travel. The car includes a set of advanced technologies, including Matrix LED headlights, an infotainment system with a 15-inch screen, in addition to the latest safety systems, which enhances the car’s position and makes it the most distinguished in its class.

The all-new Jetta returns in its boldest form. It is the largest version of the car to date with the longest wheelbase in its class. The car also offers a more spacious and versatile interior than ever before. However, the car maintains its distinctive character as the compact and agile sibling of the Passat. The Jetta was designed to combine the practical functions necessary for daily use with modern elegance and confidence, thanks to its new design, advanced safety systems, and smart technology features such as digital screens, easy-to-use door handles, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and adaptive cruise control.

Andrew Woolley, General Manager of Volkswagen Bahrain, said: “The Jetta and Passat are two of the most popular Volkswagen cars around the world, and their return represents a special moment for us in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The two cars have been redesigned to provide more space and offer more innovations, in addition to superior quality that meets our customers’ expectations. The return of the two cars represents the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Volkswagen sedans in the region.”

The Passat and Jetta reflect Volkswagen’s renewed strength in the sedan sector, as these larger, bolder and more innovative versions embody the brand’s vision of German-engineered cars specifically designed to meet customer requirements, in terms of ease of use, smart features, and design that takes into account the needs of customers in the Kingdom.
