Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed visits the student art exhibition "My creative patriot" At the Louvre Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 19 November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, visited the activities of the third edition of the “Creative Patriotic” student art exhibition, organized by the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, in the garden of the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, with the participation of more than 1,500 works of art created by school students across the emirate.
His Highness toured the corridors of the exhibition, which continues until December 8, during which he viewed the various pavilions and the innovative artistic works they contain, including paintings, models and designs that reflect the diversity of the students’ talents and creative styles, within six tracks: visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, crafts and folk arts, digital arts, and applied arts.
His Highness exchanged friendly conversations with the participating students about their artistic ideas and creative experiences, praising the artistic level presented by the participating students, and the promising skills and innovative visions that this reflects, which in turn contribute to enhancing the status of the arts in its various forms among members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that investing in students’ talents and refining their creative abilities contributes to building a conscious and creative generation capable of expressing its national identity and ancient culture in innovative ways that keep pace with contemporary developments while preserving society’s authentic customs and traditions.
His Highness pointed out that the “Creative Patriotic” exhibition embodies Abu Dhabi’s vision of enhancing the presence of the arts within the educational system, and providing integrated platforms that enable students to hone their skills, highlight their talents, and showcase their creativity.
His Highness was accompanied during the visit by His Excellency Khaldun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Sarah Awad Muslim, Chairman of the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, and His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Head of the Crown Prince’s Office in the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
The “Creative Patriotic” exhibition is the result of an artistic program that lasted over an entire year, organized by the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, in which more than 7,000 male and female students from more than 200 schools participated, under the supervision of 62 local and international artists.
The program contributed to developing students’ skills through specialized workshops, guidance sessions, and training programs.
This initiative is supported by a wide range of leading cultural institutions that have contributed their resources and expertise to ensuring the success and continuation of the program, most notably the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Education, the Abu Dhabi Culture and Arts Group, the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the National Archives and Library, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Community Contributions Authority – Together, the Bassam Freiha Foundation for the Arts, the Creative Media Authority, and a library and publishing house. “Snooze.”
It is worth noting that the “Creative Patriotic” student art exhibition, in its third edition, continues to strengthen the links between education and culture, by giving students opportunities to interact with the creative sectors and ancient cultural heritage of the UAE, which embodies the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to nurturing emerging talents and consolidates its position as a leading center for artistic and cultural excellence at the local and global levels.
