India grants UAE citizens an entry visa upon arrival at 9 of its airports

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has confirmed that UAE citizens holding regular passports, who are not residents or working in the Republic of India, can now obtain a visa on arrival valid for double entry, for a maximum stay of 60 days, for the purposes of trade, tourism, conferences and treatment, through nine of its designated international airports, namely Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi, as well as Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, in addition to Ahmedabad, Kochi and Calicut.

The embassy explained on its website that Emirati citizens wishing to travel to the Republic of India are required to have a prior electronic entry visa, or to be holders of the visa affixed to the passport before entering the Republic of India, regardless of whether the traveler has previously visited India or not, provided that the validity of the Emirati passport is not less than six months, with a travel ticket to continue the journey or return.
