His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, met today with Liao Lin, Chairman and CEO of the Industrial and Commerce Bank of China (ICBC).

His Highness said through his official account on the “X” website: “Today I met with Liao Lin, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Industrial and Commerce Bank of China (ICBC), one of the largest banks in the world, and we reviewed ways to expand our strategic partnership, and the bank’s benefit from the UAE’s position as a major hub on the global financial map, and the highly efficient financial and digital infrastructure that Dubai provides through the Dubai International Financial Center.”

His Highness added: “With the growing mutual trust between the two countries, we are strengthening efforts to achieve the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to be among the top four global financial centers.”

His Highness continued, saying: “By continuous work with our international partners, we are building future partnerships to achieve the UAE’s economic leadership globally.”
