“The Botanist” wins the Best Asian Feature Film award at the Cairo Film Festival

The Cairo International Film Festival announced, during the closing ceremony of its 46th session, that the film “The Plant World” won. The Botanist, directed by Jing Yi, won the Best Asian Feature Film (NETPAC), within the framework of supporting Asian cinema and highlighting distinguished works that presented innovative artistic visions.

 

The award jury included Bina Paul from India, the Egyptian writer and translator Ahmed Al-Saeed, and the French programmer Céline Roustin.

 

This award reflects the commitment of the Cairo Film Festival The International Film Festival supports Asian cinema and highlights works that seek to present authentic and influential stories to a global audience.
