Prize competitions "Greater Zayed" Camel races start tomorrow "Al Wathba Square"

ABU DHABI, 23rd November / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the Zayed Grand Prix 2025 camel racing competitions will begin tomorrow, Monday, at the Al Wathba Camel Racecourse in Abu Dhabi, and will continue until the first of next December, with the participation of thousands of camel horses from the country and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Supreme Organizing Committee for the award allocated 36 symbols for the participating rides to compete over throughout the days of the event, and the total number of rounds during this year’s edition is 234, with 75 for Sunnah Al-Haqayaq, 40 for Sunnah Al-Laqaya, 34 for Sunnah Al-Idhaa, 30 for Sunnah Al-Thanaya, and 40 for Sunnah Al-Hawl and Al-Zamul.

The award will also witness the holding of 15 rounds of the heritage race for the age group from 15 to 20 years, with prizes amounting to 100,000 dirhams for the first place winner in each round.

The activities begin with fact competitions over two days. In the morning, 20 rounds are held, during which the mounts compete for valuable cash prizes allocated by the organizing committee to the winners, while in the evening, 15 rounds are held, during which 4 symbols attend.

The day after tomorrow, Tuesday, on the second day, the Sin al-Haqayeq competitions will be completed over 40 rounds, with 26 in the morning period and 14 in the evening period, and the first 4 main rounds will be highlighted in the evening period, during which Najaib al-Asayel will compete for 4 symbols: the Al-Abkar Cup and Rifle and the Open Al-Jaadan, and the Al-Abkar and Al-Jaadan Cup and Shaddad in the production category, in addition to financial prizes ranging from 1.5 million dirhams to 100 thousand. Dirham.

The Sen Laqaya competitions will begin on Wednesday, on the third day of the award, with 40 rounds for this category, including 26 in the morning and 14 in the evening, and 8 symbols have been allocated for it with financial prizes ranging from 1.5 million dirhams to 100 thousand dirhams.

The fourth day will witness the broadcast age competitions over 34 rounds, including 20 in the morning period, and 14 in the evening period, to win 8 tokens, as the Jadan symbols were allocated in the morning period, and 4 symbols were allocated for the firstborn competitions in the evening period.

The fifth day, next Friday, will witness the heritage race, for boys and girls, in order to provide the opportunity for new generations to learn about the heritage identity, in addition to two rounds of the Asian race.

The age-old competitions will be held next Saturday for 8 symbols across 30 rounds, with the morning period witnessing 16 rounds, during which 4 symbols for the production category will be attended, and 14 rounds in the evening period, including 4 symbols for the virgins, the open curly, and the local ones.

The adult challenges begin with the Al-Hawl and Al-Zumul competitions on Sunday, November 30th, with 22 rounds, with 10 rounds in the morning and 12 rounds in the evening.

The festival will conclude at the beginning of next December with the most important award rounds for camel owners, where the “Hawl and Zumul” mounts run in the morning over 14 races, allocated to the production category, competing for 4 symbols.

In the evening, attention will be focused on the Hawl, Main Zamul and Local rounds, as the date will be with the Main Hawl, during which the winner will win the “Golden Sword”, in addition to 5 million dirhams, while the champion in the main Zamul round will receive a rifle and one and a half million dirhams.

The winner in the round designated for local events will be crowned with the silver sword and 2 million dirhams, while the winner in the local zumool round will win the Shaddad and one million dirhams.
