A record number.. Dubai receives 15.7 million international tourists in 10 months

The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai revealed the latest statistics on the performance of the tourism sector and the numbers of international visitors during the first 10 months of this year, which showed Dubai’s success in attracting 15.7 million international visitors in the period between January and October 2025, which is a record number, compared to 14.96 million international visitors that the city received in the same period last year, an increase of about 5%.

In October alone, Dubai received about 1.75 million tourists, with a daily average of more than 56.4 thousand tourists.

According to data issued by the department, a copy of which was obtained by Emirates Today, Western Europe ranked first in terms of the source of visitors to Dubai, based on geographical region, accounting for 21% of the total number of visitors, during the period between January and October 2025, recording more than 3.26 million international tourists. It was followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council region, with about 16%, recording about 2.5 million tourists.

The South Asia region came in third place with about 15%, recording about 2.33 million tourists, while Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Eastern Europe accounted for about 15%, recording more than 2.27 million tourists.

The Middle East and North Africa region recorded 1.74 million tourists, representing 11% of the total, while the countries of North and Southeast Asia accounted for a share of 9% of the total, recording about 1.47 million international tourists.

The total number of international tourists from the Americas reached about 1.1 million international tourists, accounting for 7% of the total number, compared to a share of about 4% for Africa, with a rate of about 698 thousand visitors, while the “Australasia” region accounted for about 2%, with a rate of 329 thousand international tourists.

In addition, the number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of October 2025 reached more than 152.8 thousand hotel rooms, within 820 hotel establishments, compared to about 152.5 thousand hotel rooms within 827 establishments at the end of October 2024, and the average hotel occupancy in all establishments operating in Dubai recorded a rate of 79.4% during the period between January and October 2025, compared to 77% in the same period in 2024.

Luxury “five-star” hotel rooms accounted for 36% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai, recording about 55,000 hotel rooms within 172 hotel establishments, followed by “four-star” hotel rooms with a percentage of 28%, recording about 43.2 thousand hotel rooms within 193 establishments.

Hotels classified between “three stars” and “one star” accounted for about 19% of the total size of the hotel market, with a capacity exceeding 29.1 thousand hotel rooms within 276 hotel facilities, while hotel apartments recorded about 25.5 thousand rooms within 179 facilities, thus occupying about 17% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai.

The length of stay of guests in Dubai hotels, at the end of last October, recorded 3.6 hotel nights, compared to 3.6 nights in the same period in 2024, while the number of nights (booked rooms) reached about 36.7 million nights, compared to about 35.1 million overnight stays during the comparison period, with a growth rate of about 4%.

The average daily price of a hotel room in Dubai reached 531 dirhams at the end of October 2025, compared to 502 dirhams in the same period last year, a growth of 6%, while the average revenue from available rooms reached 421 dirhams at the end of last September, compared to 386 dirhams in the same period last year, a growth of about 9%.
