"Islamic Dubai" Support a campaign "Limit life" In one million dirhams

Dubai, 12 March / WAM / The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai announced its contribution of one million dirhams in support of the “End Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, to raise at least one billion dirhams to be invested in combating child hunger in the world.

The campaign, which falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, aims to protect children from hunger according to a clear methodology, in addition to creating a broad community movement that will enable it to achieve its goals.

The global humanitarian campaign focuses in particular on children who face the most dangerous forms of hunger in the most vulnerable communities, especially in areas of disasters, crises and conflicts, where 5 children under the age of five die from malnutrition and hunger in the world every minute.

The campaign comes in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, and Action Against Hunger.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, said that the “End Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, represents an inspiring model of organized humanitarian work that combines a clear vision and sustainable impact, stressing that feeding the poor and providing for the hungry is one of the greatest acts of charity, which is what the campaign embodies in supporting the most needy children and giving them a real opportunity for life and development.

He added: “The department’s support for the new Ramadan campaign reflects its firm commitment to participating in the humanitarian initiatives launched by the UAE, which strengthens its position as a global model for giving, and embodies its vision of making a positive, sustainable impact on the lives of less fortunate communities.”

The “Edge of Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation continues to receive contributions from institutions and individuals through 7 main channels, which are the campaign’s website www.edgeoflife.ae, and the campaign’s call center on the toll-free number 8004999. Contributions can also be made through bank transfer to the campaign account (IBAN No: AE940340003708472909222) at Emirates Islamic Bank in UAE dirhams.

The “Limit Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation allows you to contribute via SMS text messages by sending the word “Life” or “LIFE” through the “Du” and “e&” networks in the Emirates to the numbers: 1034 to donate 10 dirhams, 1035 to donate 50 dirhams, 1036 to donate 100 dirhams, and 1038 to donate 500 dirhams.

You can contribute to the “End of Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation through the “Dubai Now” application, under the “Donations” category.

You can also contribute to the campaign via the YallaGive.com website under the “Donations” category, or by creating a special wallet for institutions or individuals on the Dubai platform for community contributions, “Jood.” Jood.ae.
