I apologize to the Kalba fans for the Shabab Al-Ahly quintet.. We bear responsibility

Albanian Kalba player Regan Elvoda confirmed that his team went through a difficult day during the match against Shabab Al-Ahly, on Wednesday, which ended with Kalba losing 1-5 in the 19th round of the professional league, pointing out that football sometimes witnesses days like these when everything does not go the way it should.

Elvoda’s statements came after the match that was held at Rashid Stadium at Shabab Al-Ahly Club, which witnessed a clear superiority for the home team, in a match during which Kalba tried to come back in the result, but was unable to match the attacking power of Shabab Al-Ahly.

Ilvoda told “Emirates Today”: “It was a bad day for us, and I do not know how to explain what happened in the match. We made some mistakes, and this is football. Some days things do not go the way we want. Football sometimes goes through a difficult day, and this is what happened with us in this match. We have to bear responsibility and work to return quickly, because the team is capable of providing a better level in the upcoming matches.”

He added: “We have to come back strong in the next match, and provide a better performance that reflects the team’s true potential. We need to regain our confidence and present a strong match that will put the team back on the right path.”

Ilvoda also sent a message of apology to the Kalba fans after the great loss, stressing that the players feel a great responsibility towards the fans and the club and added: “We apologize to the Kalba fans for this result, and we know that they were expecting a better performance from us. We will try to compensate them in the next match by achieving a win and returning with a positive result.”

Ilvoda concluded his speech by emphasizing that the team will work during the coming period to correct mistakes and come back stronger, expressing his hope that Kalba will present a strong match in the next round and appear in a way that befits the club’s name.
