"Anchors" Awarded a contract worth 1.9 billion dirhams to build a complex "The Acres" In Dubai

Dubai, November 25 / WAM / Meraas, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding Properties, has awarded a contract worth 1.9 billion dirhams to the United Construction Engineering Company (UNEC), to carry out the construction work of the exclusive villa complex “The Acres”.
The contract includes the completion of the first batch, which includes 642 villas with attached community facilities, by the last quarter of 2027.
The villa gardens are linked together by natural paths that lead to the “Halo Loop” park, which connects all parts of the complex with each other, in addition to a network of lakes in which one can swim.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Properties, said that The Acres project represents the next stage of Meraas’ vision to build residential environments in which sophisticated design, sustainability and quality of life come together.
For his part, Eng. Abdul Halim Mowaheed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union Construction Engineering Company (UNEC), said that the company will implement the project according to distinguished levels of quality and sustainability.
The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% per capita, as well as reduce water consumption by 33% compared to the national average in the UAE, as the project meets all irrigation needs with treated wastewater.
The project received initial accreditation to obtain the “LEED” gold certificate for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for residential complexes.
The residential project is located in the heart of Dubailand, allowing its residents easy access to the main destinations in Dubai.
