Schools prohibit wearing masks and “hoodies” inside examination committees for “clarity of students’ identity.”

Yesterday, the students of the 12th grade in all its tracks (general, advanced, and elite) took the end-of-semester exams for the current academic year 2025-2026 in the English language subject, where the questions were easy and took into account the individual differences of the group of students in all tracks. The students are scheduled to take the exam, today, in the Arabic language subject, while school administrations announced a ban on wearing masks and hoodies inside the exam halls, to ensure clarity of identity and prevent any practices that may It violates the transparency or integrity of the examination process, enhances discipline, and ensures the highest levels of integrity within committees.

In detail, Emirates Today’s monitoring of the exam work yesterday showed the ease of the English language questions, as students confirmed that they came directly, and in their content mimicked the content of the comprehension pieces, explaining that the exam time was appropriate for the content of the exam paper, and everyone was able to finish answering the exam before the specified time, while the writing question came to writing a topic of no less than 200 words.

For its part, the Ministry of Education said that it had not received any complaints or inquiries regarding the exam questions, which were appropriate for different levels, and were graded from difficult to easy, as the exam content was fair for those with higher thinking skills, sensitive to students with intermediate levels, and was not permeated by any ambiguity.

In a related context, school administrations banned the wearing of masks and hoodies inside examination halls, with the aim of ensuring clarity of identity and preventing any practices that may prejudice the transparency or integrity of the examination process, enhancing discipline and ensuring the highest levels of integrity within examination committees.

The departments explained that if a male or female student is exposed to a health condition that prevents him from attending the exam, he must submit an official sick leave approved by a competent medical authority, and the student’s absence will be recorded in the (N.M.) field on the platform, and then taken directly to the make-up test in accordance with the approved regulations.

In school letters to parents and students, the details of which were reviewed by Emirates Today, the administrations stressed that this procedure represents an essential organizational step to establish a safe testing environment, where equality and discipline prevail, and reflects the true level of each student without external influences.

Schools assigned teachers and observers the tasks of verifying students’ compliance with these instructions before they enter the examination halls, noting that the decision comes within an integrated system aimed at establishing standards of transparency and raising the quality of the examination process.

The schools called on parents to direct their children to strictly adhere to these instructions, as part of the efforts aimed at maintaining a disciplined and safe examination environment, and stressed that adherence to these instructions is a shared responsibility between the school, the student, and the guardian, and these measures come to protect the integrity of the examinations and enhance confidence in their results and outcomes.
