14 weight for men and women in "Abu Dhabi Grand Slam" For judo

ABU DHABI, 26 November / WAM / The organizing committee of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo Championship announced the approval of 14 competitions for men and women over the course of 3 days from 28 to 30 November, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain region.
The tournament is organized by the Emirates Judo Federation, with the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and the supervision of the International Federation. It witnesses the distribution of 56 medals, including 14 gold for the first place, 14 silver for the men’s and women’s categories, and 28 bronze for the third and fourth place finishers, in addition to points added to the balance of qualification for the next Olympic Games.
Men compete in 7 weights, under 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100 kg, and over 100 kg, while women’s competitions also witness 7 weights under 48, 52, 57, 63, 70 kg, and under and over 78 kg.
The organizing committee explained that the preliminary round qualifiers will be held in the Mubadala Arena hall in Abu Dhabi during the morning period on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on 3 floors, leading to the final rounds and the coronation.
She said that the draw will be held tomorrow afternoon via video technology, marking the start of the tournament with the participation of the world’s elite, in addition to our national team, for a total of 154,000 euros in prizes.
