“Digital Katateeb”… a bank of interactive questions and summaries to support central exams

Emirates Today monitored specific initiatives in government schools to support students academically, morally, and psychologically during the exam period, most notably the “Digital Katateeb” initiative, which provided question banks and interactive summaries that effectively contributed to supporting students during central exams, while 12th grade students in all general, advanced, and elite tracks, in government and private schools that implement the ministerial curriculum in the various emirates of the country, took the end-of-semester exams yesterday. The first academic year for the current academic year 2025-2026 is in the Arabic language subject, as the questions were easy and accessible to all students.
In detail, since the start of the end-of-semester exams for the first semester of the current year, the educational field has witnessed qualitative initiatives from government schools in various emirates of the country, such as “Najah,” “Readiness,” “Communication Hour,” and “Strengthen the Intent,” all of which aim to enhance students’ readiness for exams subject after subject, and enable them to pass exams with excellence and confidence, and achieve the best results in an atmosphere of support, follow-up, and attention.
One of the government schools enhanced the use of digital platforms through the “Katatib Digital” platform, which provides question banks and interactive summaries, as students relied heavily on these contents, especially for quick review of subjects.
The “Katateeb Digital” platform constitutes an integrated educational system, and aims to provide students with everything they need to prepare for central exams. The platform provides the testing structure, previous test models, and explanatory videos, in addition to electronic tests that simulate the ministerial model, to ensure high readiness for the student. The platform includes academic and psychological services, an hour program in Katateeb, and a review schedule for all grades.
Several schools activated the “Efada” program, which provided focused review sessions in the morning and before students entered the exam committees, aiming to address the points that students needed to strengthen, and administrations reported that the program helped students take the exam with greater confidence.
Administrations were keen to allocate a “communication hour” on a daily basis, to provide students with the opportunity to ask last-minute questions, especially in scientific subjects, and a remarkable interaction was recorded from students who felt that the presence of the teacher immediately before the exam constituted an important element of support.
School administrations activated a “consultation hour” in cooperation with educational counselors, to provide psychological support to students, through short sessions focusing on deep breathing skills, time management, developing a plan for studying between exams, responding to students’ inquiries in any academic subject, and providing explanations according to the student’s needs.
Schools continue to implement the “Strengthen the Mobilization” initiative, which provides motivational messages and encouragement cards distributed to students on the morning of each exam day. The initiative witnessed participation from teachers and parents, which created a positive atmosphere that supported students morally.
“Readiness” program
Schools conducted several simulation tests within the “Readiness” program, to help students become familiar with the type of central questions and the method of distributing grades. Students confirmed that the “simulation” helped them control time and feel more comfortable when taking the real exam.
Easy and direct
In a related context, students in the 12th grade in all general, advanced and elite tracks, in public and private schools that implement the ministerial curriculum in various emirates of the country, took the end-of-semester exams for the first semester of the current academic year 2025-2026 in the Arabic language yesterday, as the questions were easy, direct, consistent with the course and accessible to all students, and they are scheduled to take the Islamic education exam today, November 27th.
The students’ opinions were unanimous regarding the diversity of the questions that came directly, and took into account the individual differences in the students’ levels.
