The Dubai Local Rowing Boat Race starts on Saturday

The Dubai International Marine Sports Club announced the opening of registration for the first round of the Dubai Local Rowing Race, scheduled to be held the day after tomorrow, in the Al Jaddaf area in Dubai, as part of the activities of the sports season, which is full of various types of competitions and marine sports.

Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Mohammed Hareb, stressed that efforts are always focused on motivating the community to participate in this type of race, especially since the race coincides with the Dubai Fitness Challenge activities, where the open and local races were approved. He said in a press statement: “The Dubai Local Rowing Race is considered one of the most prominent events that witness multinational participation, and a large turnout that we look forward to increasing every year, with a focus on raising competitive levels.”

The club circulated instructions for participation in the competitions and provided the link for registration under the follow-up and supervision of the race management committee, while approving the holding of the open and local rounds. The open category includes government or private institutions, providing one residential presence and eight sailors from all nationalities and Gulf Cooperation Council countries, while the local category competitions are held for sailors from the Emirates.

Technical checks are scheduled to be conducted on the participating boats before the start of the race, to ensure compliance with the technical specifications in general, and to focus on providing safety equipment as a priority to ensure the security of all participants.

The race administration will also hold a lottery to determine the order in which competitors will stand on the starting line, while the race itinerary will be circulated to all participants and they must adhere to it.
