The Ministry of Education sets December 8-12 as the date for make-up tests for two categories of students in grades 3-12.

The Ministry of Education announced the dates and controls for the make-up period exams for the end of the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026, for students in grades three through twelfth in all tracks, general, advanced, elite, and applied, in public and private schools that follow the ministry’s curriculum, and are scheduled to be held during the period from 8 to 12 next December.

Two target groups

As part of its directives, the Ministry stated that the make-up exams target two categories of students: the first is those who missed the final exams with an acceptable excuse, and the second is those who faced technical problems proven via the IDH platform.

In-person tests

The Ministry stressed the need for students to come to their schools to take all exams, including paper and electronic exams.

“Private” students

It also stressed the commitment of students from private schools that follow the ministry’s curriculum to take their exams in government schools according to prior coordination.

English and Chemistry

She pointed out that the English language exam for the twelfth grade has two electronic parts, while the chemistry exam includes providing students with the periodic table on paper for the general and advanced tracks, and electronically via the Swift Assess platform for the elite track.

First day

According to the exam schedules seen by Emirates Today, exams will begin on Monday, December 8, with twelfth grade, advanced, and elite students taking the physics test in the morning from 09:00 to 10:30, followed on the same day by the social studies test in the second period from 10:30 to 11:30 for all tracks.

The second day

On Tuesday, December 9, students take the English language test in the first period from 09:00 to 10:30, where the twelfth grade students submit the written part electronically in addition to the reading part electronically. This is followed by a chemistry test for general, advanced, and elite students in the second period from 10:30 to 11:30.

The third day

Exams will continue on Wednesday, December 10, with a mathematics test for students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks in the first period from 09:00 to 10:30.

Day four

On Thursday, December 11, 12th grade students in all tracks will take the Arabic language test in the morning period from 09:00 until 10:30, followed by the Islamic education test in the second period from 10:30 until 11:30.

Conclusion of tests

The students will conclude the make-up exam race on Friday, December 12, with a biology exam, which students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks take in a uniform period extending from 09:00 to 11:00, which is the last day of the make-up exams for the first semester.
