"Coffee World Dubai 2026" It hosts three live coffee auctions

Dubai, 27 November / WAM / The “World of Coffee Dubai 2026” exhibition will host three live auctions within the umbrella of the “Dubai Coffee Auction”, affiliated with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, during the fifth edition of the exhibition, which will be held during the period from 18 to 20 January next at the Dubai World Trade Center, as an extension of the success achieved by last year’s auction when the price of a kilogram exceeded 10 thousand dollars, a slight difference from the world record.
The series of auctions brings together a selection of the rarest and finest international coffees and limited-edition equipment, with the participation of farmers, emerging producers, and the most prominent international buyers and experts, reflecting Dubai’s role as a global center that connects markets of origin with consumers through an integrated system.
In cooperation between the “Dubai Coffee Auction” of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, “DXB Live” of the Dubai World Trade Center, and the “M-Cultivo” platform for luxury coffee auctions, the first day begins with the “Dubai Coffee Equipment Auction”, which displays exclusive pieces that are not available for sale anywhere else, in addition to live demonstrations of the latest roasting, brewing and espresso technologies.
Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Multi Commodities Center, said that the inaugural Dubai Coffee Auction last year set a new standard for the industry after the prices of some microlots exceeded $10,000 per kilogram.
He stressed that the current value of the coffee market in the UAE exceeds $3.5 billion, with expectations of reaching $4.5 billion by 2029, noting that the expanded program for 2026 enhances Dubai’s presence as a global center for specialty coffee trade through a digital system that expands access to markets and enhances confidence across the value chain.
For his part, Khaled Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of DXB Live, said that the expansion of the auction program reflects Dubai’s growing position as a center for the coffee industry in the region, stressing that the event attracts the most prominent international brands and platforms, and provides exceptional experiences that support the growth of the sector globally from Dubai.
The second day is dedicated to the “Microlot Auction”, which showcases high-class specialty coffee beans from farms in Panama, Colombia, Ethiopia, Yemen and Taiwan, with tasting sessions preceding the live bidding.
The third day concludes with the “Exhibitor Coffee Auction,” which gives producers the opportunity to enhance their presence in global markets through tasting and evaluation offers before live auctions.
The value of the coffee market in the UAE is estimated at more than $3.2 billion, with expectations to reach $4.5 billion by 2029, while the size of the regional market exceeds $22 billion over the next decade, driven by the growth of café culture, which today includes more than 11,000 brands, and Dubai’s role as a global re-export center with a value exceeding 3.5 billion dirhams.
The auction program highlights the role of the Dubai Coffee World Exhibition in bringing together the value chain parties of farmers, producers, roasters, importers, retailers, experts and equipment makers, with participation open to approved exhibitors according to evaluation criteria that include innovation, traceability and taste scores, so that the accepted batches can be re-displayed and promoted globally.
