Mohammed bin Rashid Charity launches the “Umrah” and “My Family Deserves” initiatives in support of people of will

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation, with the support of Dubai Islamic Bank, launched the “My Family Deserves” initiative, which the bank sponsored, with a value of one million dirhams, to provide electronic cards to purchase food supplies, and the “Umrah for People of Will” initiative. These two initiatives aim to provide support and assistance to people of will who have recovered from the disease of addiction and their families, by providing basic requirements and direct social support that contribute to enhancing their treatment journey and ensuring their continuation on the path of recovery.

The initiative coincides with the country’s celebrations of the 54th Union Day and in line with the year 2026, the Year of the Family in the United Arab Emirates.

This came during an event attended by Mohammed Abdullah Falaknaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Erada Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation, Ahmed Khalfan Al Mansouri, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation, and Abdullah Al Ketbi, Director of the Foundation’s Community Support Department.

Mohammed Abdullah Falaknaz praised the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation for the centre’s programs and initiatives based on the role it plays in serving the community and performing its lofty mission and in integration with its role in supporting people of will who have recovered from the disease of addiction to encourage them to recover and support their social life with their families so that they can enjoy a stable and safe home life and environment and ensure the return of their normal and societal lives.

Falaknaz explained that the two initiatives confirm the Center and the Foundation’s keenness to enhance the values ​​of solidarity and solidarity that characterize Emirati society as a basic pillar of the UAE’s vision and its wise leadership for human development and building a balanced and sustainable society.

He noted that the two initiatives support the group of people of will in the most important stages of their lives and provide an appropriate therapeutic and social environment that guarantees them a decent life, as the “My Family Deserves” initiative is an important humanitarian station that highlights the value of the family in the path of recovery and confirms that an individual’s success begins with supporting his home and that every family that embraced its son in the journey of addiction and recovery is a family worthy of standing by its side.

Muhammad Abdullah Falaknaz added that the “Umrah of Willpower” initiative targets a group of recovered people who are committed to the treatment plan and who have passed the essential stages of the rehabilitation programs, in a step that embodies spiritual and humanitarian support that enhances their steadfastness in their journey towards complete recovery and embarking on a profound faith journey that contributes to changing their lives for the better and enhances their religious and spiritual aspect as it is one of the most important pillars of psychological and behavioral stability in the path of recovery.

For his part, Ahmed Khalfan Al Mansouri said that the Foundation’s support for community centers reflects its directions to expand the societal role of charitable and humanitarian work, which is integrated with the work of official and community departments in order to serve the community and exert more effort and work to prevent and protect youth and society from the harms of addiction and combat the various causes that lead to it.

He appreciated the humanitarian and societal role played by the Erada Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation in Dubai in order to contribute to providing a safe society free of health problems, preserving emerging generations from the disease of addiction, implementing scientific programs that help them recover from the affliction that befell them, and strengthening its societal role in improving the performance of agencies that carry out protection and education roles for society to keep pace with global strategies, policies, and treatment systems that lead to combating the phenomenon of addiction.
